Ok, but I am still confused, you said it was about respecting his wishes and honoring his request that there not be pork
in the house. So you are allowed to hide and eat the pork as long as he doesn’t know? Anyway, it is up to you, of course. I just think some of us are confused when you say your son forbids it in the house and you honor that but as long as he doesn’t know, you can hide in the pork closet and indulge. I recall you used to scour labels for any trace of pork and wouldn’t buy it. I guess he has lifted the ban on pork products?

I don’t like prosciutto on pizza but have reluctantly had it back when my spouse wanted it as a topping (white pizza with prosciutto and arugula). I don’t know when I’ll have salami again in the house as it is great for sandwiches.
it’s a combo of our child’s preference plus religion, although pork is also very unhealthy; I think it’s worse than cow. I try to have under 8-Oz of red meat a week if possible!
