Interesting. I call this a "bottom feeder" promo because it really targets/incentivizes low room rate seekers. Before I had an incentive to book higher rates and more expensive properties - not anymore. Really wish they'd extended free parking for Globs...
Also takes away the incentive to eat in-house.

Same here. The half-nights for Globalist got me to join Hyatt this year and the triple points promo got me spend on nice rooms and eat a lot in-house. I earned 200k points in the last 5 weeks, that's well over 5000 points a night. It was surely overly generous, but the new promotion is not gonna get me to spend more money at Hyatt.
