To be honest, you're lucky they didn't call the police wherever you live. I don't work in travel but if anyone threatens our service staff, I've told the managers to take the call or email records and send them straight to local police (it's happened 3-4 times in the last year and we've had 2 written apologies). It pays to know the booking/cancellation policy, particularly "during these times", I know I did when I booked a hotel and flights recently.
