Hertz is a Despicable Company

I booked a one day rental. For some reason, I can't cancel on the ap. So I called last Friday to cancel. Got an email today to say get ready for my reservation. I called again and apparently it was never cancelled. Then I find out that I will lose 25% of my points for cancelling? What kind of a policy is this? Especially during these times. I told them I had covid and would go into their office and infect people if they didn't let me cancel without penalty. Still no luck. What a horrible company. I hope bankruptcy takes them out. I certainly don't feel bad about using discount codes I wasn't entitled to for many years.
