Question about 500 mile change if Qatar moves leg by 24 hours - if the outbound is cancelled/moved-to-different-day, would it make me eligible to do a 500-mile change to the inbound leg even if the inbound isn't changed?
Specific example - I booked SEA - ISB roundtrip on qatar. The outbound flight is automatically moved by the airline by 24 hours (they stopped running on thursdays), while the inbound leg is unaffected. I haven't called them about this change yet. Based on above change by the airline, can I request qatar that while I'm fine with them moving my outbound flight by 24 hours, can they please do a 500-mile free-change/no-fare-difference-payment on the inbound to LHE-SEA (so basically the change is SEA - ISB // LHE - SEA).
Has anyone tried something similar, is it HUCA or is this official policy that 500 mile change becomes eligible on both legs if one is impacted.
