I wonder if there is some points level for which the computer authentication is required? I have a substantial amount of points. My husband is not required to authenticate his account. He has minimal points.
Agree this must be annoying. For point of reference only, I have around 1.5M in my account but not required this extra step when logging through website or app. If it matters, I reside outside of the US.
