And you think this would solve that? I don't. Change your question to: "I have an Amex Gold, can I call/chat/send a carrier pigeon to Amex and get them to add this to my card?"

I voted to keep them together, since they function the same way. Also there is no assurance Amex will keep these "Reserved for Platinum" which is just marketing mumbo jumbo for "Targeted Offers" anyway beyond the current covid/limited travel situation.
