You buy sandwiches when you can just buy the ingredients and make them at home plus other take out. For some reason you seem to think that the only reason to go to a restaurant is because you can't make the food at home. You would be cooking for hours & need tons of ingredients if you tried to make 4 different Chinese dishes at home.
actually I bought the sandwiches because they’re tied to the play date. My family only did the play date because of the sandwiches. None of us really wanted to be there and we were excitedly aware of the sandwiches.

the Chinese carryout was me leaving home, fetching it, and returning home. I really could have made the rice, which was $3.50 for 2 portions plus tax and tip. That would have paid for 20 grams of gummies.
