Why should I pay for the hotel from my own pocket when it's a a schedule change on their part?? They would gladly charge me any kinds of fee they can come up with If it's a voluntary schedule change initiated by me. I purchased an itinerary with a 4 hours layover. I wouldn't have purchased it, If I knew it would be 20 hours overnight layover. And like I said, I've already made travel arrangement for the trip so I'm not seeking a refund.

And unless you work for Mexican Immigration, you can't really guarantee I can leave the airport for a hotel whether I want to pay for it or not. Can you?
