Holding my money for 12 months is definitely not a reasonable time... and not to mention that they are under Ch.11. Who knows if they even exist in 12 months time? As far as my bank is concerned, I can do a charge back within 120 days from the flight in question.

But my main objective is not to seek a refund. Frankly $514 is not a lot of money. I need to travel on those days as I have made other travel arrangements. That is the reason I'm asking them to protect me on another carrier or provide hotel. I can't find it acceptable to change my travel date without my consent and then force me to spend a night at the airport terminal for 20 hours.
They are forcing you to spend the night in the terminal. You are choosing to do that because you don’t want to stump up for a hotel. What are we talking about here? $50? $100 at most? Probably could be done for even less than $50.
