Have you tried heating the cup before using it? Add boiling water to the cup, allow it to sit for a bit, then, right as you are ready to add the coffee, dump the water.
Thanks, that’s a good suggestion as whilst I’m reconciled to espresso during the week I may try pour over again when I’ve a bit more time at the weekends. Reminds me of the basins of espresso cups sitting in boiling water in cafes in Italy.
