The online change flight tool is flaky -- look for a new flight with the regular new flight search and then call to make the change. This has been long true and calling is make the change is the best approach for multiple additional reasons.
There will be no fee for making this change, there may be a fare difference if more expensive. Depending on your present ticket you may or may not get a refund if the new fund is cheaper.
