It’s a really stupid move on their part and one which a lot of business travelers are not going to be happy with. There are destinations that are not served, there are also intermediate trips that cannot be booked on AF/KL.

instead of trying to retain customers Amex seems to do everything in its power to devalue its product. Not that it will make much of a difference but I want to write but oh, they don’t have any email address nor social media presence... in 2021. Big thumbs down. 👎

May be time to look at standalone policies.
