One thing to watch out for (must have been stated several times already) is support for features update. Some manufacturers are better than others for post-sale support. Vizio is good (get updates, some I don't want, for stuff that includes new streaming services). Same for the Blu-Ray player though the manufacturer gave up the market (and I don't want any updates lest it screws up SACD ripping capacity).

I have streaming apps on my TV (Vizio), BD player (Oppo 105 I got "cheap" a few months ago), IPTV set top box/PVR and of course the computer attached to the TV but use none currently. Had Netflix but cancelled. I also have Apple TV cast to the TV but will drop it once the 1 yr free trial is up.
