I got a soundbar for Christmas...problem was, it only had Bluetooth, HDMI and Optical outputs, neither of which are supported by my 24" TV from 2008...so in the end, I had to buy a new TV.
Managed to get the following model for €274 ($330) in 43"

Just started looking for my first new TV in about 7-8 yrs. Need to get a larger screen as my eyes weaken.
Budget is under $900.. QLED, OLED, 4K, etc are a bit confusing.
Thinking of a ~55" screen size (current one is ~37" Vizio)
Will sit on a media center we haven't purchased yet.
Do not use Roku, XBox, Sling, etc. We do have Netflix streaming.
Pretty simple needs. This TCL 55" was rated pretty high by CNET: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0885F5GMP...23d%7Cdtp%7Cus
Is this a good option for $650?
All feedback appreciated.

Very pleased with it. Went a bit over budget after our son convinced us we'd be happier with a 65" set. Thanks for all your advice.
