I've had comped nights earn Hyatt nighs credit, while others have not. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to any of it, except that, for whatever reason, my stays at the Bellagio have always earned them, and the the ones at the Aria hadn't.
This just adds more to the confusion since my Mlife stays have been split about half-and-half between Aria and Bellagio.
