Personally, I've owned Samsung, LG, and Vizio TVs in the flat screen era - never an issue with any of 'em.
If you do get a TCL, make sure it's a "real" TV with tuner and not just a "Roku" style TV monitor - I still think it's a good idea to have a tuner in the TV so you can connect an antenna and get OTA channels, even if just for emergency.
All of TCLs TVs are both Roku-based and have ATSC tuners.
I know that Vizio tried the tuner-less "monitor" thing a few years ago, but they gave that up when everyone started cluing in to just how much free, over the air digital [including some HD] content there was out there.
And with ATSC 3 now out, there will be even more high quality, over the air free content on the all of the network sub-bands. Of course you will have to have an ATSC 3-compatible tuner...
