Not sure if it has changed (haven't flown TG or *A out of BKK for over a year), but they used to serve wine in the D Royal Silk lounge out of the bar to the right of the reception.
Food was never anything special, so I think it makes sense to minimise waste by adjusting to something with a longer shelf-life.
