I know about this but this information is conflicting. In general according to Air India bubble agreement we can only take direct flights from USA to India , this is true for all the countries (listed under agreement) but different airlines have different interpretations and are some are allowing Indian passport holders but some are not.

If we consider following information (copied from above), the confusing part is "originating" which states that connecting flight is not possible at all but not sure why some people are able to take connecting flights from different routes.

B. Any Indian national holding a valid visa and all Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders holding passport issued by any country in the EU/Schengen area, South America or Africa only and originating from any country in the EU/Schengen area, South America or Africa.
This is why I am asking for any practical experience if anybody in this forum took any connecting flight via Germany from USA?
