Your two carry-ons would be checked on hold for free if they are under 8kgs. If not they would count as regular baggage.
If you are not *G, you would have 2x32kgs + 2x8kgs checked baggage allowance and if you are *G, you would have 3x32kgs + 2x8kgs checked baggage allowance. ( The 2x8kgs are your carry-ons )
However, you would be able to take your personal item onboard.
Also, you would check your carry-ons at the check-in counter at HKG and reclaim it at the baggage belt in YYZ so you would need to put everything you need into your personal item as you would have no access to it during the journey.
Thanks for the quick reply. I was going to take my iMac as a carry on, i don't think it is safe to check it in even though I do have the original packaging box as well as the ilugger bag... Do you think the airport agents are strict with the carry on restrictions?
