Meh, I’d sort of equate this to a university offering free classes to its staff memebers. Nice, yeah, but in reality it essentially costs the company nothing. The lights are already on, the professor is already teaching, etc. Likewise, this is basically the same for Delta. The planes are flying, the pilots and FAs are getting paid regardless, the difference is a negligible amount of fuel and the cost of a Niagara and bag of Cheez-its.
