This is pitiful on a grand scale. Not only is United not being consistent in even handing out
one cheapskate packet of salami and
one "premium" drink to people paying thousands of dollars for their ticket, but given the international J loads, a company more focused on effective customer attraction and retention would probably provide each Polaris customer with a full meal prepared by one of the restaurants in the terminal, to be delivered to, and eaten in the lounge, most certainly for any flights departing in the evening when people might prefer to sleep vs eat dinner after departure. Maybe a month of Kirby's bonus might cover the cost if it's a big stretch for the company.
