I flew VS from DEL-LHR-LAX today, as expected there was no trouble for an US passport holder with OCI leaving India on this route. I spoke with VS gate staff in LHR who conferred with the VS duty manager, they said that there would be no trouble returning to India via this route as well. To paraphrase VS staff in London, they have a bunch of US passport holders with OCIs who do this trip right now.
