I am a lawyer, the book with confidence policy is an inextricable part of the contract agreed between the parties. It is an inducement to purchase, how can you book with confidence if the airline is permitted to remove significant aspects of the confidence/inducement without notice and without consideration? The airline can change its policy at any time for new bookings, but it cannot make material changes to the inducement once the contract has been agreed and payment taken.
I just re-checked the conditions of carriage of QR and still, there is no mention of the Book with Confidence policy, I have also checked some random fare rules, and still no mention of the Book With Confidence policy.
The thing that I don't understand is how could the contract between the parties has the "Book with Confidence" policy; when booking a ticket on the QR website, other than pop-ups leading to the policy ( where you're leaving the ticketing process ), there is no mention of it.
If there is something other than the ethics that I miss, please let me know.
