I usually treat my parents and siblings to a trip every year and go through the same song and dance. The rooms are pre-paid and I've set up my card for the incidentals and encourage them to charge to the room so that I can earn points for f&b spend however they usually decide to settle with their non-points earning credit cards. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I usually ask the front desk manager if there's a way to manually add these to the folios as "paid" so that I can earn points on the spend. This works very well in Asia but not in North America unfortunately.
