Whats crazier is that I'll earn 1.5x the points on my 15x per dollar Amex card vs the 30x I allegedly get for the stay itself.
Wait when did you get the points from your stay? We stayed the 5-12, and used points for 5-11, and then a free night certificate on the 12th. On hilton.com, for the nights where we used points it shows -120K (5th) ], and -480K(6th-11th) to reflect the points we spent. Then on the 12th, on that line item it shows that we earned 14,596 points (from a bill of $11K, similar to you). I wasn't sure where that number came from, but it broke it down as follows:
Base points: 4,532
diamond elite 100% bonus: 4,532
2020 Double rewarads promotion- double points: 4,532
MYway Preferences Bonus option: 1,000
Total: 14,596.
At first, I thought they were erroneously awarding us point based on a best available rate or something but does it actually emcompass all our spend at the resort? We're diamonds through aspire card, but Wasn't I suppose to get 45x points per dollar spent? Although it looks like dive center, spa and transportation are excluded from earning points, our Food and beverage portion was ~$4K, and 14,596 is nowhere near 31x points per dollar (excluding the 14K that will come from amex)....
Do I need to contact hilton? Does this 14,596 points correspond to our spend (somehow, even though this makes no sense) or is this based on a hypothetical best available rate for that one night?
When are points from your spend at the resort supposed to show up in your account?
