Does anyone have any recent datapoints relating to refunds of revenue tickets?
My ARN-SIN flights were cancelled with no sectors having been flown. I applied for a refund on 15th September but to date other than an auto response email acknowledging receipt of my refund request I have heard nothing.
I sent an email to SQ today asking for an indication of timescales and received back a cut and paste paragraph from the website about refunds taking longer to process, but personally I think for a simple revenue ticket (business class tickets, no sectors flown, no ancillary fees) 4 weeks should be ample time to process it.
Has anyone had any luck with CC chargebacks?
As a comparison I've had to cancel BA tickets several times in the last 6 months and once I got through to them on the phone the refunds were processed and on my CC within 48 hours.
