The situation has got a little complicated in the last couple of weeks with India scolding LH & AF/KLM for using 6th freedom flights to the US/CA. LH has stopped flying to India for this and another bigger issue. AF continues to fly to India.

India is currently in discussion with France and Germany to resolve this issue. Right now it's kind of uncertain what the outcome of those discussions will be and whether they'll allow OCIs & others to travel through EU. India specifically wants to stop this.

I don't think anyone will have a definite answer for you till the results of those discussions are announced.
