The thing with ALL Edition hotels is -- bland. I mean, RC Nikko and Kyoto also use wood prevalently, but they are a lot more beautiful.
Edition has always given me the feeling of "westerner trying to be oriental/ philosophical but only manages to scratch the surface, but its ok let's just market it as uber upscale simplicity" kinda brand.
