Asking for my friend: She'll be flying SFO-DEL (US citizen/OCI) and plans to get tested before flying (within 96 hours) to get exempted from mandatory quarantine. However, she still wants to stay in a hotel (of her choice) for a week before going home. since her parents are elderly and immunocomprimsed. Once stamped for home quarantine, can she travel and go to any hotel or is she forced to stay home? Only reason she's getting tested for exemption is so she can stay in any hotel (diff location/can use points/promos) rather than be forced to stay in a hotel selected by GOI. Any thoughts? Thanks.
