I agree, but when the system can't do X, and two senior-tier agents confirm that this is policy - regardless of whether it directly contradicts what's been published - then it's hard to know what level of confirmation is going to confirm this with any more confidence.
EDIT, 30 minutes later: this shouldn't really come as any kind of surprise...
I don't want to say I told you so, but...
Front-line agents get their information from somewhere. Sometimes that source is wrong, which leads to even more issues because every agent confirms the inaccurate info.
Now I wonder if I should cancel my request for my booking that needed a phone call, so I can try again. But I'm not in the mood for another eUp call.
