Figured I’d report on my interaction with the plat line and subsequent date change of an itinerary. So my original itinerary, which I booked early Feb 2020, was jfk-doh-kul in late March 2020. My original change was to push the same destination to July, and then I subsequently changed it to jfk-doh-bkk for over us thanksgiving (late nov w/ a return in early dec). That’s been the itinerary of that ticket since like April. Needless to say us yanks will probs not be welcomed in thailand by November, so prudent idea to not only push back the dates into 2021 but potentially find a new destination. But with the new book with confidence policy, unless I have an invol change, I have to stick to my *amended destination* along with having an itinerary with the same RBD. So even though my original ticket was for KUL, I have to stick with BKK as my destination for changing purposes. Based on that, this might actually become a proper win for all those folks who booked a phl-doh-kbp itinerary and then changed it to bkk, seeing that the amended destination seems to destination used for changing purposes. Personally, I’m very copacetic with this, but this could be a *great* win for the kbp folks, so long as they’re willing to go to bkk some time in 2022
