Current AI soft product on longhaul flights during COVID
I recently flew BOM-FRA-AMS roundtrip in LH J and was pleasantly surprised with the soft product being essentially unchanged with the exception of the pre departure drink. The only big issue was that BOM airport lounges were all shut, and so were the LH Business and Senator lounges at FRA Z gates (for non Schengen flights).
Now, the time has come for me to finally move back to the UK and with the recent cancellation of India routes on the part of LH (because of regulatory issues), I've decided upon flying AI J to LHR from BOM in mid October. Does anyone have any experiences with how on board service is currently on longhaul AI flights? Is alcohol still served, and are the meals in packaged containers or is there a substantial meal service (the meal was probably AI's only saving grace in my opinion).
