Agreed, though it seems like they could have moved the door a bit farther forward on the NEO aircraft, however in most cases they seem to have just gotten rid of it entirely which is a bit odd.
The overwing exits (even four of them) weigh a lot less than two type C exits (i.e., 2L and 2R)... especially when 2L is usually a full-height door.
