I called the GS number for a trip where I tried to upgrade my parents with PP (I was not traveling) at the 72 hour point. Lots of open seats in First. GS agent spent a few minutes typing and was able to confirm the upgrades were processed. Not sure if it was a policy issue or just a nice agent or fact F was empty, but I was grateful.
