i guess i've been spoiled by all the choices dl offers....i always get free wifi for my messaging apps, which is basically all i need on the flight....

$18.99 is however acceptable for a 15-16 hour flight....i credit all my star alliance miles to ai so i don't have any ua miles....but even if i did, i agree that paying with miles is a terrible idea....

i'm traveling in polaris but my 2 colleagues are in premium plus....hopefully we will get a decent deal so that they can up-sell to polaris during check-in....polaris seems to be less than 20% full right now....galaticos, what were the loads like on your flight????
