There is also absolutely no value in sending registered mail unless you are sending something of intrinsic value, e.g. cash or an original document. If you are sending a letter before action or other communication, simply mail it, keep a copy and note the date you mailed it. There may be a duty on you to mail something, but your duty ends when you mail it (unless there is a specific legal obligation to deliver via some other means).
