That’s sort of like saying how about spreading the Fourth of July’s night of fireworks or a state/county fair over a full month.
It is the way it is:
given that pilgrimages to Mecca have always been about business — even before Islam’s historical founding — and that the beneficiaries of pilgrimage business ordinarily love the extra money of all that ultra-peak travel period demand;
and given that there have been historical benefits of network effects when it comes to event hosting for a diverse group coming from far away places.
