They will not. The terms and conditions say "Testing costs not covered", which basically means most medical tests done won't be covered. So what else is left? The cost of ventilator? The terms and conditions also say that any costs must be paid directly by them (so in a medical emergency if you hand over your credit card to the clinic/hospital, they will not reimburse you after the fact).

Basically the terms and conditions are such that, practically speaking, all they're promising is an economy flight back to your home country and nothing else.

The biggest advantage of this PR stunt is that you can use it to satisfy the beaurocratic requirement of having a covid-related insurance (when entering UAE or elsewhere). You won't actually get paid by the insurance, but it will check the box
