OK, this is what I’m getting at. UA has not made it as crystal clear as AA and Southwest. UA changed the policy by omitting verbiage? They should change the policy by stating that a medical form is no longer valid, and to find a different method of travel. Like you said, anyone that has that much of a difficulty shouldn’t be on a plane anyway.
