yes, this is highly annoying but can be worked around. you can ask the gate agent to "cut" you two vouchers (i doubt they will do three). also, you can mail high value vouchers to continental and they will make "change" for you. send them fedex or some other traceable way.

but, if you do break the vouchers down, remember that you can't apply two to the same ticket. only one voucher can be used per ticket.

this system is so much more onerous than the other airlines' method. on AA, you can get "change" from your voucher. i am not sure if they will let you use two vouchers per ticket.

another scam, brought to you by continental airlines. this is just like the un-customer friendly rules when it comes to giving vouchers when ticket prices go down. on AA, it's a go. on CO, it's a no.
