Another data point for awful Malaysia Airlines - normally if an airline cancels a flight, they would reaccommodate the passenger on an alternative flight as the cancellation wasn’t the passenger’s fault. In this case, they asked the passenger affected by COVID-19 flight cancellation to pay a higher fare to be moved to another flight of the same airline!

MH charge fare diff even they cancel my flight and I rebook in same class same route
