I used to use Google Tracks but it went away at some point. Not wanting to figure out how they integrated it with the rest of their offerings, and also because I decided I didn’t want Google tracking me 100% of the time by enabling location history, I switched to other apps that let me turn it on and off... there are plenty out there, especially of the fitness tracker variety. Running, cycling, skiing, etc. - and many of them can still be used outside of those activities they were designed for, but my favorite generic/all-purpose GPS tracking app is GPS Tracks: GPS Tracks by David Morneault
