My understanding of AMS is that you can go between zones so long as you have Schengen entry rights and you are already airside, though you may need assistance to do so. But yes, the easiest would be to do as you suggest, if arriving non Schengen. Bear in mind that Lounge 52 is quite some distance from say B.
