I visited Il Sereno for lunch so I can't commented extensively on service but in terms of style I found it too modern and it didn't have that old school glamour of my favourite Lake Como hotels, Villa D'Este and Grand Hotel Tremezzo.

May be contrary to popular opinion but I love Four Seasons Milan, I didn't think it was dated.
