Buffets, which is AirNZ method of hot food, are explicitly banned, due to it high touch surfaces and risk (food generally goes in or near face). AFAIK the AirNZ lounges/kitchens aren't capable of other hot food options. How would you propose AirNZ provides hot food within those limitations? Cafes which have table service have kitchens setup with space for plating, wait staff, etc.
I am not sure of AirNZ reasoning for alcohol
