I was sorely tempted but never booked mine. Maui would have been our first choice but we had to go with another option before the window closed. Vacation homes are rapidly booking up in states that have opened to visitors with appropriate risk mitigation. That's $5k (including 11% occupancy tax) will benefit residents of Nevada. We also save on airfare and won't incur the anxiety of flying during COVID.

To be fair my home state of California is also losing out as vacation owners are loathe to accept VRBO reservations in violation of current county and state mandates.
