It's odd, but a direct consequence of KL's decision not to block middle seats, as many other airlines have done. Instead, they have blocked the aisle seats to keep the crew as far away from the passengers as possible (as if the crew are not safely ensconced in the galley or crew rest area for 99% of the flight), and to hell with "social" distancing rules for their paying customers.
