pewpew explained, it's the acids. The same thing applies to a lesser extent with coffee as well.
My dentist also told me it's worse if you drink these beverages right after brushing when the tooth surface has been freshly scoured. Of course, many people brush first thing in the morning then immediately drink coffee.
Yeah, I always try to leave some time between brushing and drinking. Used to be I’d brush at home and drink coffee a few hours later in office. Last few months I’ve drunk my coffee at home then brushed my teeth.
Which is better I can’t say given my latest dentist appt was, of course, cancelled last week.
