Hi,
I booked a flight trip from A to C (Paris to Martinique) and return in 1 booking.
But instead of booking A --> C + C --> A , I booked A --> C + C --> B --> C --> A, which cost 75 % less.
Note that:
- C --> B --> C is a completely unnecessary flight..
- ... which is made by a different (local) airline than A --> C and C --> A
- This is an error from the OTA (Online Travel Agency), NOT from the airline itself
Question:
Can I skip C --> B --> C without consequences? Anyone tried this yet?
Since I have only a couple of hours in (the airport of) B, it's just a waste of time. Too bad it didn't work when booking a stay longer than a day in B.
Other notes:
- Outward flight: A --> C , Inward flight: C --> B --> C --> A (all in the same day)
- A --> C and C --> A : Corsair International , C --> B --> C: LIAT Airline (B = Barbados)
- According to Wikipedia, LIAT has Interline agreements with Corsair International (but doesn't mention this on the Corsair page). However C --> B --> C does NOT fly under a codename of Corsair.
- I strongly doubt that the baggage is checked through between flights from LIAT and Corsair International. Not checking in baggage is also an option.
- I simplified the scenario a bit for readability.
- If anyone is interested: this can be found on secretflying.com. The travel agency I booked with already corrected the price, but there is one more you can try with.
Thanks
